What was the shutter speed / fstop / iso combo you used for this shot?

I love this effect in any picture and I would love to learn how. And Im assuming I would need a tripod?

Yes, tripod is a must. Can't remember exactly the exposure here as I blended 2 exposures, one for the foreground and one for the background... Any exposure over a couple of seconds will achieve this silky effect on the water. Always set your aperture high say f/11 - 16 for a deeper dof, ISO 100 to keep noise low. Hope this helps :)

So on my 35mm, say like 1/4 exp. should work?

It depends on the lighting, every scene is different. I recommend getting some ND filters, they come in handy :)

grat scene, the low trees are amazing.
the long-exposure effect on the water is great as well
