The Devils Tears by DrewHopper The Devils Tears by DrewHopper
To shine by reflection with a sparkling luste...

Spectacular sunset reflections at Shelley Beach - Nambucca, Australia NSW.

- Toned down the purple hue in the sky to match the reflection in the rock-pool. Also decreased saturation levels slightly.

Beautiful photo Drew.

Quick question, how long did it take you to get your filters from teamworkphoto?

Hmmm, at the begining wasnt sure what to think about this capture. But now I think this shot looks very interesting and this time these strong colours very suit here. Interesting clouds motion. :+fav:

Believe it or not this is hardly edited. Maybe I went a bit nuts with the saturation in the sky, might tone it down a little. Thanks for your input Alex :)

The colour in the sky is completely unnatural, overly dark and overly saturated. Maybe you filtered it do the actual editing was small but the difference in the sky here and the reality is clearly massive. Just look at the reflection. Not only is it brighter than what it is reflecting, the clouds are also a completely different hue!

it's closer but the above statements are still true. Here's an example of what I am getting at
[link]

Here's the direction I would head in (although if it were mine I think it would be processed quite differently)
[link]

You will find that your original processing will find more fans on this site though.

I see what you mean now, makes sense. I'm happy with it though, the colours were rich and I really wanted to capture that. I will have another play later, cheers Alex :)
