The explosion of light bursting through the forest creates a primordial feel that shows your respect for nature and your deep understanding of light and your equipment. The fact that you can select the keepers and know which ones really work, shows an instinctive artistic eye. The work done in locating these spots, waiting for the light and choosing the exact moment, shows a dedication that few would understand, let alone be able to emulate or surpass. You have found your path. Don't deviate, but most importantly, don't stop.

Oh god this is just terrible. That amount of vignetting and too much darkness on the corners & that DOF. I think this is just pointless "All images are ęcopyright Drew Nelson Hopper. it looks mighty real to me ^^ I don't get why people keep asking the same question...
It wouldn't really matter if the rays were photoshopped -which they weren't as you stated about 10 times by now- it's simply an amazing picture.
I mean this type of photo belong in the (overpriced) National Geographic photo books.
