Misty Tablelands by DrewHopper Misty Tablelands by DrewHopper
Guy Fawkes River takes a spectacular plunge off the tablelands at Ebor Falls, NSW Australia. I took this late afternoon just before dusk in the mist and rain. To put these falls into perspective check out my last shot [link]

This deviation didn't come up in the new deviations so I thought I'd post it as an updated version. Enjoy.

Great exposure, just not all that sure on the composition of this one. It's not bad, just could be better I feel.

Needs more of a scale, including more of the falls would do that. I'm planning another day trip here, just need the right conditions which is tough getting when it's a good hour and half drive from me.

Hmm, not sure about the composition here. Your other shot of the falls shows the power and beauty while here it seems you can't decide where to set the main focus of the subject.

You have a valid point actually, I'm thinking it's too 50/50 and therefore you don't know what to focus on. Thanks for the input :)

Crackerjack! Was there anymore drop to show? I like the half and half but I'd like to see a 2/3rds waterfall as well.

About another 10 meters drop then there's a lower falls below it which is about 20 meters again.

Wow thats an incredible location and a beautiful shot of it. Perfectly exposed and composed. The only thing I could think of that could possibly make it better is if it ever got soft early morning or late afternoon lighting making the falls glow but depending on the location that may not be the case. Many of the waterfalls here are in canyons an only get light on them at mid-day which isn't such a pleasing light. Great work on this one. I think it may be one of my new favorites of yours!

This was late afternoon, I waited for sunset but it didn't happen because of the storm clouds. I was planning on camping here but thank god I didn't because I was freezing just being there for a few hours, let alone camping there the night. My hands went numb, I couldn't move my fingers so I had to go sit in my car for a few minutes to warm up. I think you would get that nice glow on sunset though, just need the right conditions.
