Constructed of prefabricated concrete blocks in 1901, the Cape Byron Lighthouse stands on the most easterly point of the Australian mainland and is Australia's most easterly lighthouse. It is also Australia's most powerful Lighthouse.

Taken late evening on full moon. My girlfriend and I took in this beautigul sight. We then moved on to Sharpes Beach in Lenox Head to wait for sunrise. She got an hour or so sleep, but I couldn't sleep so I managed to get a few more night shots before the spectacular sunrise. Those photos yet to come...
(Note: Very similar to an old image I took last year - Moonrise Delight [link] )
This is the most photographed lighthouse in Australia yet your picture is a standout from the rest. The sleepless night would be because of the full moon. Like other artists we are a little bit lunatic! Thanks for your art Drew!
