Midnight electrical storm sweeps across the Blue Mountains behind the iconic Three Sisters, NSW Australia.

The Three Sisters is the Blue Mountains’ most spectacular landmark. Located at Echo Point Katoomba, around 2.5 kilometres from the Great Western Highway, this iconic visitor attraction is experienced by millions of people each year. The Three Sisters is essentially an unusual rock formation representing three sisters who according to Aboriginal legend were turned to stone. I am very fortunate to have witnessed and captured lightning strikes from such a famous landmark.

Faved...

Some of natures powers...!
Water is well known...
Static electricity also...
but less familiar...
The mountains...
are made...
by even slower forces...
and will not go away...
in a flash...

Greetings Drew...
good exposures...
and good point of view...!
Jakob.

Thanks. This is 2 exposures, one for the lightninging and another for the foreground. Was a tricky exposure to control because of the flood lights on the Three Sisters.
