Cosmic Journey by DrewHopper Cosmic Journey by DrewHopper
A cosmic journey into the edge of time. My last photo before my tripod with camera came crashing to the ground. I'm happy I managed to get at least one decent photo. Anyway, this is a big drop off into the Friday Creek Valley below. My estimation is about a 30ft drop, quite spectacular all hours of the day/night :P

300+ sec exposure
f/5.6
LED torch to light paint

Really a unique shot with high lighting at night. I don't see many night shots that show water, trees, and stars, especially one taken with a torch light.

I like an image that makes you really look at it. So many little details were caught. I especially like the stars.
Happy you caught the rig before you lost it to the abyss.

Wow the colours on the right... love the contrast between the illuminating trees, the full of stars sky and the shaded trees... that's unfortunate that some trees are in the light too on the left ^^

Looks fake from the bright colors, like its 3d or photoshopped

This is fabulous. Just fabulous. May I dare to ask you if I could reproduce this in a painting?
This is so powerful... I did never see anything similar before.

Your composition is not classical in fact. The red shades on the rightgives some mystic feeling of the underwood. The strange slope on the left gives a non-natural effect, as if the mountain was about to crash and fall. The circles in the sky gives the infinite time impression (as if the earth rotation was infinite...). All these effects in the same shot. This is clearly rare and precious.

Congratulations my friend.
